Total Eclipse of the Car!
We are so excited about our Total Eclipse Party on August 21st at 12:30- 2:30!
For the first 300 folks that attend, we are handing out our certified Eclipse Sunglasses and a Moonpie! There is plenty of parking in front of the buildings or on the gravel empty lot off Lowe's Drive.
We are also grilling out hamburgers and hot dogs!
Here are some things to know about the Eclipse:
- Do not look directly at the sun before, during or after the eclipse without any protective eye wear!
- The last time a total solar eclipse was visible from coast to coast was almost 100 years ago, on June 8th, 1918!
- When the eclipse begins, at first contact, it will appear as if the Moon is taking a bite out of the Sun.
- As the Eclipse progresses, the sky will get darker, the temperature will drop 10-15 degrees and if you pay attention, animals and birds will become quieter.
- As the sky turns dark, planets and stars hidden in the sky by the Sun's bright light will reappear
- Look for Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus during totality!
- Solar Eclipses happen in cycles, the Saros Cycle, one of the most studied solar eclipses, occurs every 18 years.
Seriously, how lucky are we to be in Clarksville, Tennessee! We are right in the middle of it's path, and we will have full visual of it!
For this spectacular event we created a song and music video to celebrate this occasion!
Total Eclipse of the car!
We are so grateful to have our Electronic manager, Brent, create our video and youtube content and of course he knocked it out of the park with this music video!
We love creating for our customers and employees, to put smiles on your faces with these entertaining videos or to inform with our instructive videos. Whatever it may be, we always want to share the best with you!
Rachel and Christine who participated in our music video were amazing and put forth a lot of effort to make sure this came out the very best it could be. From studying the lyrics continuously to putting on 80s makeup/clothes and doing multiple takes! We couldn't ask for better employees.
You can't be serious all the time, and we sure love to share our silly-ness and goofy-ness with all of you!
Everyone involved enjoyed creating this video and we hope you all enjoy it too! We also hope to see everyone at our Total Eclipse party and take part in this historical event together!
P.S Try getting this song out of your head, because we've all been singing it for days!
