The impressive thing is that the fuel economy is achieved with engines that are light in weight but big in towing, hauling, torque, horsepower and all-around toughness. The 6.7L Power Stroke turbo diesel delivers a 20% improvement over the previous diesel, while the 6.2L gas V8's improvement is 15%.

The state-of-the-art emissions system of the 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel combines industry-proven technology and Ford-designed innovations to exceed the latest federal emissions standards, while helping deliver best-in-class fuel economy. Nitrogen oxide (NOx) levels are reduced by more than 80% compared with the previous regulations.
