Your Tire Update for this Winter from Jenkins and Wynne

With the recent weather changes you may have noticed a change in your vehicle. In the morning (or when you start your vehicle up in cold weather) there may be a light or message on the dash. Cold weather causes tire air pressure to drop and may signal that you have low tire pressure. If the TPMS light is on in the morning but goes out after driving a few miles, the low pressure warning is probably due to the colder weather. In Honda’s there is a symbol that looks similar to this ( ! ) and in your Ford you may see a message that says “ low tire pressure”.

The low tire pressure symbol will pop up once you’re under 2lbs the recommended air pressure. You can check and see what the recommended air pressure is for your vehicle by looking at the inside of your driver’s door and reviewing the sticker. Unless the actual ‘ TPMS ‘ light is on then you have nothing to be concerned about! If your TPMS is on please contact us so we can make sure there isn’t a problem with the system.

We would be happy to check and ensure that your vehicle is ready for the cold weather months. If you have any questions in regards to your Honda please call 931-647-3353 ext 5241 or 5242.
If you have service questions regarding your Ford/Lincoln or Mercury please call 931-647-3353 ext 5204, 3107 or 3106.

Everyone at Jenkins and Wynne wishes you a Happy Holidays and we’re looking forward to seeing you again soon!
