The Flex

Alan Mulally, Ford’s President and CEO, rode onstage in a 2009 Ford Flex to kick off the 2008 North American Auto Show for Ford. The crossover made its debut at the 2007 New York Auto Show. It will be one of six new products that will be available from Ford in 2008, reaching Ford’s goal of having a 60% new showroom in 2008.
The Ford stand at the NAIAS features a Flex Design Studio with two books showing images of the Flex and its different styling options. Customers are able to choose colors for the Flex’s roof from ten options, including monochromatic or two toned. The Design Studio books show how the Flex evolved from the 2005 Ford Fairlane Concept to its current look: a crossover with room for style as well as seven.
The 2009 Ford Flex will be available in mid-2008.
